About oneSmartcrib.com

oneSmartcrib.com is a smart home blog that teaches people how to use home automation technology to make their lives easier and more enjoyable.  oneSmartcrib is best known for taking a fun but well-researched approach to content, often with a bit of an 80s twist.

Smart Home Automation Made Easy

Cue up The Jetsons theme! Smart home automation technology is here right now.

Your smart refrigerator can tell you what you need to order and what is expiring. There is an army of robots willing to vacuum your carpets or even mow your lawn. You can peer into your living room from 3000 miles away to check if your dog is peeing on your carpet. Or how about a vibrating crib that can soothe a crying baby to sleep? Or smart artwork that cycles photos of your kids and entire collections from Andy Warhol and Van Gogh? And of course, we can’t forget about the ability to ask your own ‘digital personal assistant‘ any one of a million different things. “Alexa, can you tell me a pirate joke?”

[Kind of interesting that this guy sounds like an actual pirate.]

The Choices Can Be Overwhelming

Yet, all of this cool technology comes at a price. Literally, tens of thousands of new products have flooded the market in the past two years alone. There is mass confusion about what to buy, and there is also a ton of junk and unnecessary complexity.

For example, last year I bought a smart plug that literally fried my Christmas tree lights.  Lately, many of our readers are running into problems with getting multi-room music to work on multiple Alexa devices.

New problems will continue to crop up, and oneSmartcrib will be here to help.

Our mission is to make smart home automation simple and enjoyable for everyone.Tim Brennan

Our mission is to make smart home automation simple and enjoyable for everyone. We do this in three ways:

Smart Home Blog

In our blog, we provide reviews that are centered around only the best and highest quality products that are either personally tested by our experts or thoroughly researched and reviewed using top sites like Wirecutter, Wired, CNET, Consumer Reports, PC Magazine, and of course, YouTube.

Smart Home Product Recommendations

As a member of the Amazon Associates Program, we scour Amazon for only the highest rated products and products that we have either personally reviewed or thoroughly researched as being viable. Our pledge to you: the vast majority of products featured on our site will have a four-star Amazon rating or above.

eNewsletter – Coming Soon!

Through our newsletter, we provide links to not only our blog posts, but also to recommended smart home automation products and helpful information like how-tos, tips, tricks, and advice from our experts. Coming in November 2019!

YouTube Channel

This year, I set a goal to write 100 articles in the blog, and as I type this I am just nine articles away.  I plan to achieve that goal between now and the end of the year.  Next year, my number 1 priority will be to get our YouTube channel up with unboxings, reviews, and how-to advice about the latest smart home tech.
